פרימו לוי (1987-1919), היה סופר, כימאי וניצול שואה איטלקי, שיצירתו נחשבת לאחת העדויות הספרותיות והמוסריות החשובות של המאה העשרים. הוא נולד בטורינו, שרד את השואה לאחר שגורש למחנה אושוויץ, וחוויה זו עיצבה חלק מרכזי מכתיבתו. ספריו משלבים דיוק אינטלקטואלי, בהירות מוסרית ורגישות אנושית עמוקה בבחינת השאלה מה פירושו להישאר אדם גם בתנאים הקיצוניים ביותר.

Primo Levi (1919-1987), was an Italian writer, chemist, and Holocaust survivor whose work became one of the most important literary and moral testimonies of the twentieth century. Born in Turin, he survived the Holocaust after being deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp, an experience that shaped much of his writing. His books combine intellectual precision, moral clarity, and deep human sensitivity in examining what it means to remain human under extreme conditions.

كان بريمو ليفي كاتبًا وكيميائيًّا إيطاليًّا وناجيًا من المحرقة، وتُعدّ أعماله من أبرز الشهادات الأدبيّة والأخلاقيّة في القرن العشرين. وُلد في مدينة تورينو عام 1919، ونجا من المحرقة بعد ترحيله إلى معسكر الاعتقال أوشفيتس. وقد أسهمت تلك التجربة في تشكيل جانب كبير من كتاباته.

تمتاز مؤلفاته بالدقّة الفكريّة، والوضوح الأخلاقيّ، والحساسيّة الإنسانيّة المرهفة، في سعيها إلى مساءلة سؤالٍ جوهريّ: ما الذي يعنيه أن يظلّ الإنسان إنسانًا، حتى في أقسى الظروف وأكثرها تطرّفًا
