The Water-Energy-Climate Nexus

The effort for a sustainable future focuses on many challenges, most of which are interrelated. In our group, we tackle challenges related to:

• Water. More affordable and sustainable water desalination, treatment, and recycling.
• Energy. The transition to renewable energy requires energy storage solutions, such as flow batteries and the production of green hydrogen.
• Climate. The transition towards a circular economy, either via the recovery of nutrients and precious materials or via carbon capture and its sequencing.
