Preparatory Studies

Preparatory studies toward a doctoral degree

Preparatory studies toward a doctoral degree are intended for applicants who do not meet the department’s admission requirements in their thesis grade and/or course average, but may be admitted if the Research Students Committee is convinced that the applicant can reach the required level through preparatory studies.

The Research Students Committee will consider the applicant’s admission based on their performance in relevant courses.

Thesis completion

Graduates of a non-thesis master’s program may complete a thesis in order to apply for the doctoral degree.
