Registration Information

Required Documents

General Documents:

Upon completion of the admission process on the system, the general documents (items 1–4) must be uploaded to the candidate’s Application Portal.

1. Official, English certificate and grade transcript indicating the successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree, including the grading scale/grading method of the institution.

2. Official, English certificate and grade transcript indicating the successful completion of a Master’s degree, including the Thesis score and the grading scale/grading method of the institution.

Students from non-English-speaking countries must also submit notarized or certified translations of their documents and complete grade sheets in either English or Hebrew.

New, incoming students (not previously at BGU) require verification and must be presented at the Kreitman School during the first semester of studies.

Graduates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev are not required to submit these documents.

3. An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV), in either Hebrew or English.

4. Copy of your passport (must be uploaded at the time of registration as a JPG file, 1MB)

Faculty-Specific Documents:

Upon completion of registration, the following documents must be sent by email to the Kreitman School coordinator.

  1. Candidates for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science  – should fill out and attach an Expectations Agreement Between Supervisor and Doctoral Candidate form, following a meeting on the matter, and signed by both parties.
  2. Candidates for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences only are required to submit a tentative, pre-admission Thesis Research Proposal, signed by the referees, to the Kreitman School Office.
  3. Candidates for the "Combined Track" in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences only are required to submit to the advisors a summary of their research. The supervisor will submit a Summary Chapter Evaluation Form – recommendation for transfer to the combined track to the Kreitman School Office.
  4. Candidates for the Faculty of Business & Management only are required to submit a “Statement of Intent for Management” form.
    The statement must be submitted in English and should address the following topics: motivation for PhD studies; long-term professional goals the candidate seeks to achieve; the field of intended specialization; an example of a research question of interest in the stated field (as a non-binding example for future research); a brief review of the relevant literature to date; justification for further research; and the candidate’s view regarding the appropriate general research approach.
    (Total length: 400–800 words).
  5. Candidates for the combined track in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Desert Studies only are required to submit a letter from the principal supervisor detailing how the Master’s thesis will be expanded into a Ph.D. thesis.
