BGU Brain Imaging Research Center

he BGU Brain Imaging Research Center (BIRC) is located inside the Soroka Medical Center, just across the street from the BGU's main campus - the Marcus Family Campus. The imaging center houses a 1.5 Tesla Phillips Achieva scanner and a brand new 3 Tesla Phillips Ingenia scanner. MRI scanners are used for both clinical and scientific research.

The BIRC also houses a 1 Tesla Aspect micro scanner inside the BGU animal facility, which is used for mice and rat studies.​
