Molecular mechanisms that control HIV gene expression and viral latency
Our lab studies the molecular mechanisms that control gene expression and
latency of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). We aim is to identify host
protein and non-coding RNAs that play a role in the establishment of the HIV
reservoir. This pool of cells is currently a major obstacle for a complete cure of
HIV infection.
