Male fertility
The research in my laboratory is focused on male fertility preservation.
We develop novel and unique technologies to grow testicular stem cells
(spermatogonial stem cells) and induce their development in vitro to
mature sperm. In addition, we search for genes and environmental factors
that may involve or affect male fertility. We also look for biomolecular
agents that may reduce the harmful effect of chemo - and radiotherapy
on male fertility. We use various methods, including tissue culture, in vivo
studies, microfluid systems, FACS, confocal microscope, and molecular and
histological methodologies. Our research involves close collaborations with
physicians.
Laboratory location: Marcus Campus, Building 39, Room 316.
