Areas of Research
The School of BioMedical Research is a multidisciplinary unit that encompasses laboratories
Scientific discoveries are the basis for innovation in treatment of patients. We are committed to generate the knowledge that can advance revolutionary clinical applications. The School of BioMedical Research is a multidisciplinary unit that encompasses laboratories aimed to elucidate the underlying cause of disease and identify novel targets for therapeutics. Researchers use cutting-edge tools in biochemistry, immunology, genetics and physiology to reveal the fundamental function of the human body and to tackle the problems that cause disease.
Our researchers collaborate with clinicians in affiliated hospitals as well as engineers form neighboring faculties to allow breakthroughs in health benefits. These include the Soroka BioBank, the research Hubs and the state-of-the-art transgenic animal unit.
