The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at BGU is at the forefront of innovation, research, and education in one of the most dynamic and impactful fields of the 21st century. Our mission is to educate the next generation of engineers, researchers, and technology leaders who will shape the future of technology and society.
We offer a rigorous academic program that spans foundational theory, cutting-edge applications, and interdisciplinary exploration. Students receive a strong mathematical foundation, core courses in ECE, and a wide variety of advanced electives. We offer three B.Sc. degree programs:
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Communication System Engineering
The first two years are nearly identical across all three degree programs, allowing students to switch programs up to the end of the second year.
The school also offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communication System Engineering, and Electro-optics Engineering. In these degrees in-depth research in the expertise of the school faculty is being conducted.
Our faculty are world-class researchers engaged in pioneering work across a wide spectrum of areas—from microelectronics, signal processing, RF, Communication, and photonics to AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and quantum technologies.
Our vision is to become a global leader in electrical and computer engineering research and education. We strive to foster creativity, curiosity, and a strong sense of responsibility among our students, while promoting partnerships with industry, government, and academia—both locally and globally.
Through excellence in research, teaching, and innovation, we are committed to advancing knowledge and contributing to technological progress and the well-being of humanity.
