Tenure-Track Faculty Position – School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks.

We seek exceptional candidates in all areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Particular interest will be given to applicants specializing in:

  • Control and Robotics
  • Computer Engineering
  • VLSI and Integrated Photonics
  • Digital and Analog Circuits
  • Quantum Technologies
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)

Outstanding candidates in other areas of ECE are also strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Basic Qualifications and Position Expectations

Candidates must:

 

  • Hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

  • Demonstrate an established record of research excellence and a strong track record in securing research grants or scholarships.

  • Significant postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.

 

Successful candidates are expected to:

 

  • Establish and lead an independent, internationally recognized, and externally funded research program.

  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate research students.

  • Teach courses in both Hebrew and English at undergraduate and graduate levels.

  • Contribute to the academic and administrative life of the department.

Application Materials

Applicants should submit the following documents:

 

  • Curriculum Vitae, including a complete list of publications.
  • Research Statement outlining past achievements and future plans.
  • Teaching Statement detailing teaching philosophy and interests.
  • List of requested laboratory facilities, equipment, and startup funding required to establish a research program.
  • List of six potential referees, including:

     

    • Level of familiarity with each referee.

    • At least three referees with no prior collaboration.
    • For Senior Lecturer rank: 4–5 references, minimum two independent, and two from institutions abroad
    • For Professor rank: 5–6 references, minimum four independent, and three from institutions abroad.
    • One letter must be from the candidate’s Ph.D., M.Sc., or Postdoctoral advisor.
