Introducing the Faculty of Computer and Information Science
The Faculty of Computer and Information Science promotes academic excellence in research and teaching across computer science, information processing, and artificial intelligence, integrating basic, theoretical, applied, and interdisciplinary sciences.
The Faculty comprises five innovative research institutes: the Institute for the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, the Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence Research, the Institute for Software, Systems and Security (S³), the Institute for Interdisciplinary Computational Science, and the Institute for the Theory of Computing. Together, they form a broad research framework that combines scientific depth with innovative applications, advancing the frontiers of knowledge and technology.
The Faculty fosters creativity, innovation, and technological entrepreneurship, with a strong commitment to the prosperity of the Negev community, the State of Israel, and the global society.
