Intended for outstanding Bachelor’s students from BGU or other comparable academic institutions who are ranked by the Research Studies Committee among the top 10% in their field.
The total duration of study and research is 5 years.
- Admission to this track requires approval by an ad hoc committee, which reviews the candidate’s eligibility.
- Admission must immediately follow completion of the Bachelor’s program.
- This track enables direct admission to doctoral studies without prior registration for a Master’s degree.
- A student in the direct-track program who has completed the required coursework for a Master’s degree, submitted their Ph.D. research proposal, and successfully passed the Ph.D. candidacy exam, will be eligible to receive a Master’s degree. The Master's degree will be awarded by the faculty in which the student is enrolled.
- In the Interdisciplinary Studies program, a Master’s degree will not be awarded unless a thesis is submitted.
- The students are required to complete the full Master's program requirements.
