- Guest lecture series – The laboratory hosts an esteemed guest lecture series on leadership and politics, featuring prominent scholars in the field. Among the distinguished speakers were Prof. Micha Popper, Prof. Alon Lisak, Prof. Dimitry Shumsky, Prof. Aviva Halamish and Dr. Carmit Padan.
This series not only illuminates key theoretical and practical aspects but also lays the groundwork for future collaborations with academic institutions in Israel and abroad. - International Research Group on Cascading & Complex Extreme Conditions – The Politics and Leadership Lab, in partnership with the Minerva Center for the Rule of Law under Extreme conditions at the University of Haifa and Humburg University, has launched an international research group on Cascading and Complex Extreme Conditions. This innovative group aims to explore the dynamics of intersecting crises, including armed conflicts, political instability, and economic upheavals, and their compounded effects on societies and governance. The group has established a bi-weekly schedule for forum sessions, where members present their ongoing research for discussion and feedback. During 2025 the group held 3 in-person workshops: one was held in The Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the study of Israel & Zionism, the second in the University of Haifa and the third in Hamburg. This research group represents a groundbreaking initiative in an emerging field, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to the development of theoretical and practical approaches to complex crises.
