Call for Proposals: Support for Large International Conferences - 2026
Proposal Submission Details
The submission deadline is April 10, 2026.
Proposals must be submitted via the university’s online submission portal:

Formatting Guidelines: Font size: 11, Line spacing: 1.5, Margins: 2 cm, File format: PDF
Conference Information: Include the conference title, details of the organizing committee, a comprehensive description of the conference content, and the agenda.
Organizing Researchers: Provide the names of the BGU researchers leading the event.
Invited Participants: List the invited speakers and include email confirmations of their participation.
Participant Statistics: Provide detailed attendee data, including the number of participants from Israel and abroad, gender distribution, and breakdown by students and senior researchers.
Appendices: Each lead researcher must include:
- A list of active research grants from the past two years.
- A list of publications from the past five years.
- A brief biosketch (up to half a page).
Budget Plan: Submit a detailed budget aligned with the university’s financial and grant management guidelines.

- The proposals will undergo an initial screening to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. This review will be conducted by the Office of the Vice President and the Dean of Research and Development.
- Only proposals that meet the criteria will advance to the final evaluation stage.
- An internal steering committee will select the proposals that will receive funding.
- Up to four conferences will receive grants of up to ₪75,000 each.
- Notifications of acceptance will be published in May-June 2026.
