Alex Braiman

In the lab, we investigate cellular physiology, signal transduction, and regulation
of cellular processes. We are trying to identify the differences in the regulatory
mechanisms of the normal vs. malignant cells. One of our main goals is finding
a solution for cancer resistance to therapy and recurrence by targeting cancer
stem cells. Additionally, we investigate the involvement of the immune system
and its components in regulating proliferation, aging, and death of normal and
malignant cells.
