The Cyber & Computation Division at Ben-Gurion University offers a cohesive, persistent high-performance computing (HPC) ecosystem through its HPC central service.

This service is the cornerstone of advanced research computing at BGU, providing access to cutting-edge high-end computing resources that empowers our researchers to conduct computationally intensive tasks, analyze large datasets, and accelerate scientific discovery.

Collaborations

Euro HPC:

BGU collaborates with EuroHPC to provide access to pan-European supercomputing resources, thereby fostering international research collaborations. The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (JU) is a joint initiative among the EU, European countries, and private partners, aimed at developing a world-class supercomputing ecosystem in Europe. This ecosystem offers BGU researchers an alternative HPC infrastructure, particularly beneficial for large-scale computational workloads.

 Nimbus Project:

Project Nimbus, is a strategic cloud computing initiative undertaken by the Israeli government and its military. Launched in April 2019, this project aims to provide comprehensive cloud solutions for the government, defense establishment, and various other entities. It involves the establishment of secure local cloud sites within Israel's borders, emphasizing stringent security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
