MSc in Mechatronics Engineering
Registration is open
About the Program
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a Master of Science graduate program in Mechatronics Engineering. Mechatronics Engineering is a relatively new engineering field, designed to meet the growing need for integrations of various engineering fields such as
mechanical, electrical, computer, and electronics engineering.
The aim of the program is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in a selected field of specialization. The MSc degree requirements include the successful completion of 8 courses aimed at establishing the necessary advanced background in
robotics, control, and estimation theories, as well as carrying out a research project culminating in a full MSc thesis.
The thesis is supervised by a senior faculty member with expertise in the field of specialization. Students graduating with an MSc degree are equipped to assume senior research and development positions in industry and may continue towards Ph.D. studies.
MSc studies in Mechatronics Engineering at BGU can be extended into a combined Ph.D. track in Mechanical Engineering, such that the MSc thesis exam serves also as the Ph.D. candidacy exam. The MSc degree is typically completed within 2 academic years (4 semesters)
