About the Program
The Department of Mathematics offers an active research environment with a distinctly international character. Every year, students in the program attend a highly distinguished lecture series and participate in international conventions featuring well-known mathematicians.
The M.Sc. program offers a Thesis (research) track and requires two years of full- time study. Outstanding students may join the combined M.Sc.-Ph.D. track during the 2nd year of their M.Sc. studies.

Requirements for Application
The registration conditions are correct at this time and are subject to change depending on supply and demand. To secure your place in the program you wish to be admitted to at an early stage, we recommend that you register early.
- B.Sc. degree in Mathematics at a minimum GPA of 80/100 from an accredited institution.
- A TOEFL score of 85/120 or the equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required.
- The candidate must identify a potential advisor (research supervisor) among the faculty's staff. Use the link below to search for an advisor.
- In some cases, a Skype interview will be conducted as part of the admission process to better assess the student's abilities.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences accepts only very strong candidates. We strongly recommend that serious candidates submit a pre-application with all of the following documents.
- A copy of the applicant's undergraduate diploma
- A copy of the applicant's academic transcripts
- A Copy of the applicant's TOEFL/IETLS score
- A copy of the applicant's GRE subject score
- Two Letters of recommendation from faculty members who are familiar with the applicant's academic work and skills. These should be sent by the recommender directly to rishum@bgu.ac.il
- A copy of the first page of your passport
- A copy of your CV
