About the Program
A joint program of the Department of Life Sciences and the Albert Katz International School of Desert Studies.
The program provides students with a theoretical background in ecology and evolution, with emphasize on biodiversity, community dynamics and organism-level processes, combined with methodological knowledge, including statistics, mathematics, model developing and assessment procedures specific to nature conservation and management.
Requirements for Application
The registration conditions are correct at this time and are subject to change depending on supply and demand. To secure your place in the program you wish to be admitted to at an early stage, we recommend that you register early.
A B.Sc. degree in science is required from an accredited institution.
A TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or equivalent in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English.
Applicants are expected to contact by e-mail one or more potential supervisors with whom they would like to work on their thesis. Click below for the BGU Research Portal to search by faculty member or by field of study.
- A copy of the applicant's undergraduate diploma
- A copy of the applicant's academic transcripts
- A Copy of the applicant's TOEFL/IETLS score
- A copy of the applicant's GRE subject score
- Two Letters of recommendation from faculty members who are familiar with the applicant's academic work and skills. These should be sent by the recommender directly to rishum@bgu.ac.il
- A copy of the first page of your passport
- A copy of your CV
