About Me

I am an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department, Ben-Gurion University. Previous to that I was a Visiting Associate Professor at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) China. I did my PostDoc with Prof. Nina Amenta at the Institute for Data Analysis and Visualization (IDAV), University of California at Davis. My PhD was carried under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Cohen-Or and Prof. Ariel Shamir at the School of Computer Science, Tel-Aviv University. My research is in the realm of Computer Graphics and Visual Computing. I concentrate on geometry processing 3D modeling and deep learning. A major part of my research focuses on techniques and algorithms for 3D scanning and point processing (reconstruction, understanding, etc.). I am also interested in interactive techniques and machine learning/deep learning techniques for CG.

Bio

I am a faculty member at the Computer Science Department, Ben-Gurion University, Israel. Previously I was a visiting associate professor at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology(SIAT), China (2009-2010). I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion Institute in 1999, and M.Sc in Computer Science from the Tel-Aviv University in 2002. During this time I spent four years working in a start-up software company (formerly named "GAYA") focusing on signal processing and noise reduction algorithms for VoIP applications. My PhD on "Surface Reconstruction Techniques for Imperfect Raw Data" was carried under the supervision of Daniel Cohen-Or and Ariel Shamir at Tel-Aviv University (2007). I did my Post-Doc with Prof. Nina Amenta at University of California at Davis exploring topics in shape registration and deformation for paleontology, parallel hashing on the GPU and computational geometry (2007-2009). My research interests include geometry processing and shape modeling, 3D surface reconstruction, interactive applications, shape analysis and parallel algorithms on the GPU. I am currently working on surface deformation techniques, shape denoising and GPU related data structures.
