Prof. Michael Tsesarsky
Seismic hazards
The Negev Computational Seismology Lab's motto is “Bridging the Gap,” a knowledge gap that exists due to Israel's relatively low (but proven) seismicity.
My research goal is to better understand seismic hazards in Israel and develop robust tools to constrain them using geological ground truth.
My research spans field studies of Fragile Geological Features and advanced numerical modeling of seismic wave propagation and ground motions on a regional scale using HPC.
