Dr. Alex Brodsky

Research Topics: Reinforced concrete, Large-scale Experiments, Finite elements, Progressive collapse, Earthquakes, Masonry infill walls.

Experimental investigations

The Brodsky Group consists of a dedicated team of PhD and master's students leading innovative research in structural engineering. They conduct highly controlled experiments on structures and develop advanced numerical models.

Numerical investigations

Their research includes investigating the response of reinforced concrete structures in progressive collapse, utilizing plastic waste for structural concrete, exploring the interaction between normal strength concrete and Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)

Our lab

Studying the behavior of infill RC frame structures in earthquakes with a focus on the effect of infill walls, and laying the groundwork for the use of UHPC in protective structures and strengthening layers to increase the capacity and ductility of critical elements.
