Global Development Committee

The Global Development Committee of the BGU Board of Governors is a key strategic body dedicated to advancing the University’s long-term growth and global impact.
Chaired by Tony, the committee brings together the presidents of all Ben-Gurion University Friends associations alongside leading international donors who share a strong commitment to the University’s development and philanthropic mission.
Convening twice annually, once during the Board of Governors meeting in May and once in the winter under the auspices of a hosting Friends association, the committee plays a central role in shaping and supporting a ten-year, one-billion-dollar global fundraising campaign.
Through strategic discussion, advocacy, and international engagement, the committee has already contributed to raising over 500 million dollars in its first five years, significantly strengthening the University’s ability to pursue its academic and institutional goals worldwide.
