Finance Committee

Chaired by Mr. Lionel Halperin, Switzerland

The Finance Committee of Ben-Gurion University’s Board of Governors plays a central role in safeguarding the University’s financial stability and supporting its long-term strategic vision.

The committee is responsible for ratifying the University’s annual budget and financial statements, ensuring sound financial governance and alignment with institutional priorities.

It convenes once a year, usually via Zoom, in advance of the annual Board of Governors meeting in May.

All voting members of the Board of Governors are invited to participate.

The approval of the budget and financial statements requires a majority vote in favor. In addition, committee members typically receive an overview of the University’s development budget during the meeting, though this item is presented for information purposes only and is not subject to a vote.
