Single-cycle optical nonlinearity of transparent conducting oxides explained
We provide a quantitative model for the electro-optic response of transparent conducting oxides to single cycle intense pulses. We show that the interplay between spatiotemporal aspects of absorption, stimulated emission and multi-photon absorption can explain the weaker-than-before nonlinear response observed in experiments, as well as on the unexplained relaxation dynamics.
