Noise properties of quantum dot optical amplifiers
We present a theoretical analysis of noise properties in linear and nonlinear quantumdot amplifiers. Inhomogeneously broadened gain and fast population pulsation dynamics are highlighted. The results are consistent with published and measured saturation spectra.
