Population coding in neuronal systems with correlated noise
The effect of noise correlations on the population coding of a pool of cells that encode a single variable was analytically studied. It was shown that the effect of correlations depends on their spectral dependence. The accuracy of the information in the population in biologically relevant parameter regimes was illustrated.
