We present an evaluation of a new design method of a graph database schema (GDBS). The method is based on an Entity-Relationship diagram (ERD) of the domain of application, which is mapped to a GDBS in a two-step process, according to specific rules. Following the development of the method, we evaluate it via a controlled experiment in which we compared it with alternative design methods. The results indicate that the proposed method improves the design of a graph database.
