Prof. Lior Nesher is a full Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and Director of the Infectious Diseases Institute at Soroka University Medical Center.
His main areas of focus are antimicrobial stewardship, viral infections, and the care of immunocompromised patients.
He completed an advanced fellowship training at The University of Texas - MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States, one of the world's leading centers for infections in oncology and immunocompromised patients.
Prof. Nesher has published over 100 scientific articles in leading international journals, including epidemiological studies alongside translational research bridging basic science and clinical medicine.
He is regularly invited to speak at international conferences around the world.
