Lavitation instrument
The high-temperature levitation system enables contactless processing and characterization of materials at extreme temperatures. Combining stable aerodynamic or electromagnetic levitation with laser heating using CO₂ and Nd:YAG lasers to reach temperatures of up to approximately 4000 °C. By eliminating container interactions, the system allows precise investigation of thermophysical properties, phase transitions, and solidification behavior. It supports in-situ thermo-optical observations, cooling curve measurements, and the optional use of drop calorimetry through controlled release of the levitated sample, making it a powerful tool for advanced materials research.
