Nitzan Moshe (1968–2022)
Nitzan Moshe z"l (1968–2022) was a key figure in the Israeli chemical industry, with over 25 years of experience. He served as Senior Executive Vice President for Global Operations at ICL Group and was among the leaders in innovation, operations management, and organizational leadership. He also served as Chairman of the Chemistry-Pharmaceuticals and Environment Association at the Manufacturers' Association of Israel.
Nitzan believed that innovation, technology, and connectivity were at the heart of transformative change in industry—improving results, enhancing worker safety, and increasing shareholder value. He viewed industry as a vehicle for knowledge sharing and saw advanced operations and smart manufacturing as tools for profound change.
His worldview was based on several core principles:
- Pursuit of Excellence: For Nitzan, no goal was unattainable with the right adjustments, whether through organizational restructuring, or implementing new processes.
- Creativity as a Way of Life: For Nitzan, creativity was both culture and mindset, from designing advanced control rooms, through initiatives with workers' committees, to developing organizational and economic models.
- People at the Center: Beyond professional achievements, Nitzan believed that organizational success begins with employee wellbeing, collaboration, and caring.
His legacy rests on combining operational excellence and innovation with values of social and environmental responsibility. The establishment of a Sustainability and Innovation Unit in his name is a direct continuation of the path he believed in combining a sustainable and creative future with meaningful business and social value.
His tragic death in a road accident on Highway 6 in 2022, alongside Anat Tal-Katlav, was an immense tragedy. The accident occurred when the offending driver, driving without a license at excessive speed, veered and caused a fatal head-on collision.
Nitzan left behind his wife Miri, his four children—Eylon, Lihi, Gali, and Eyal—and his parents, Ran and Etti.
