Vision

To establish BGU as the national leader in advancing health economics and position  the BGU-CHER as an international center of excellence for multi- and interdisciplinary research targeted at improving healthcare systems worldwide.


Goals

1. Generating multi- and interdisciplinary research in the field of health economics through cutting-edge methodological and applied research.

2. Leveraging economic theory, empirical research methods and data science to address complex challanges that healthcare systems worldwide face and improve public health.

3. Promoting broad data accessibility and integration to facilitate evidence informed decision making.

4. Creating a community of researchers interested in health economics in Israel and beyond.

5. Enhancing collaborations with health economics research centers worldwide.

6. Providing training and education opportunities for the young researchers in the field of health economics.

Target population

Health economists, clinicians, health psychologists, epidemiologists, data scientists, healthcare managers and policymakers, and graduate students in health economics and health systems management.
