Master’s Prospective Students – Q&A
A full scholarship covers:
- Tuition waiver (equivalent to 20,000 NIS annually)
- Monthly stipend of 2,457 ILS (based on the current academic year’s rates)
- Accommodation in a single apartment, on the Sde-Boker Campus, subject to availability (additional costs apply for couple or family housing)
- Health insurance coverage
Students are responsible for the following expenses:
- Registration fee: $100
(initial payment of $25 + an additional $75 upon acceptance) - Annual security fee
- Travel costs
- Living expenses
For students whose housing application is approved for Sde Boker Campus, additional costs include:
- Housing deposit
- Water and electricity bills for the dormitories
The scholarship is awarded for two academic years, up to a maximum of 24 months.
To qualify for the scholarship in the second academic year, students must:
- Fulfill all academic requirements
- Complete at least 50% of their academic credits (21 required and elective credits)
- Maintain a minimum average grade of 85 (on a 0–100 scale)
- Have their detailed research proposal approved by AKIS during the first year
