Andrea Goren is a third-generation supporter of BGU and a member of the first cohort of A4BGU’s Zin Fellows Leadership Program. Like his father and grandfather before him, he is captivated by the University’s
unique and critical mission for the State of Israel and by the positive impact BGU is making both in the region and through its excellence in many fields of study. Having visited BGU for the first time over 40 years ago, Andrea is particularly proud to have witnessed the University’s achievements to date and honored to support its pioneering efforts going forward.
Andrea has focused his career on backing dynamic companies that are in transition, working as a private equity investor, investment banker and finance executive, closing almost $1 billion in transactions. After
working in Europe for Roy Disney’s Shamrock Group, Andrea relocated to New York to serve as managing director and chief financial officer for Phoenix Group, a private equity firm that invests in small, troubled companies. He currently serves as CFO of INVO Bioscience, a medical device company that is
expanding access to and lowering the cost of advanced fertility treatments. Andrea received a B.A. from Connecticut College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Andrea lives in New York with the love of his life, Bettina, who retired as vice president for Walt Disney International Television to care for their three children: Dax, Lilu and Akiva.
