Welcome to The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU)!

Our core mission is to train the next generation of engineers, scientists, and industry pioneers who will revolutionize medical technologies and improve global health outcomes.

We provide a rigorous curriculum that bridges the gap between engineering principles and medical sciences. We offer undergraduate and graduate tracks designed to meet the evolving demands of the med-tech industry.

At the undergraduate level, we offer advanced technical specializations in signal processing, biomechanics, neuroengineering, and biomaterials/bioelectronics. At the graduate level, our MSc and PhD programs empower students to conduct deep, impactful research alongside our faculty.

Our professors are world-class researchers pioneering advancements across a diverse spectrum of fields, including biomedical optics, bio-signal processing, biomechanics, tissue engineering, biomaterials, bioelectronics, and neuroengineering. Our vision is to serve as a global epicenter for biomedical breakthrough and education.
