Position Name: Tenure Track Position in Neuroengineering
Description: The Department of Biomedical Engineering and the School of Brain Sciences and Cognition, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, are inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position (at all ranks) at the interface of biomedical engineering and neuroscience.
We seek outstanding candidates with demonstrated potential for excellence in research, teaching, and academic leadership.
Candidates working in all areas relevant to neuroengineering will be considered. We have identified the following areas as being of particular interest:
- Advanced imaging methods for neuroscience
- Neural prosthetics and neurotechnology
- Advanced electrophysiological recording techniques
- Invasive methods in humans
- Translational and clinically oriented neuroengineering
Outstanding candidates whose research aligns with the broader mission of neuroengineering and neurotechnology are strongly encouraged to apply, even if their work does not fall squarely within the specific examples listed above.
Both units host a diverse and tightly knit neuroscience community, spanning cognitive, systems, computational, and clinical neuroscience. Both units maintain strong undergraduate and graduate programs and provide a highly collaborative environment that supports ambitious, cross-disciplinary research.
Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. and a postdoc in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a related field. A strong research record in neuroengieering, with evidence of potential for future excellence. A commitment to high-quality teaching and mentorship. The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds. Potential to secure external research funding.
