The Human Spirit Tracks

The establishment of the Young Family School of the Human Spirit reflects the philosophy that a complete academic education cannot merely consist of imparting professional, scientific, or technological knowledge. Instead, it demands an engagement with questions of humanity, society, morality, and meaning.

Two Axes, One Flagship Course

The entire program is built upon two complementary conceptual axes that guide the learning: "Humanity and Its Time: Society and History" and "Humanity and Its Spirit: Thought and Culture."

As a unique bridge between professional disciplines and the humanities, all students in the program will take the shared foundational course, "Artificial Intelligence as a Bridge to the Humanities." This course develops critical thinking, ethical tools, and sensitivity to the human complexities of our contemporary technological reality.
