Current Position:
Senior Manager, Ion Exchange India Ltd., Mumbai, India

I am currently working as a Senior Manager at Ion Exchange India Ltd., where I lead the synthesis and development of electro-membranes for various applications such as water desalination, fuel cells, and resource recovery. My research journey began with a Ph.D. in Chemical Science from CSIR-CSMCRI, India, and since then, I have worked as a researcher and postdoctoral fellow in several international institutes including the University of Wyoming (USA), ICGM-CNRS (France), and the University of Glasgow (UK).
My time at the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research (BIDR), BGU, was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Living on the Sde Boker Campus felt like a blessing—I often say it was a gift from God. The campus was so peaceful and safe that I hardly ever needed to lock my room. We were more than colleagues—we were like a family. I still remember one touching moment: while cooking, I realized I was missing a few ingredients and casually posted a message on the Sde Boker campus email list. To my surprise, within minutes, several people showed up with everything I needed. That memory still warms my heart.
In Israel, I also learned to value water in a way I never had before. It was the first time I truly understood the importance of conserving every drop. I also came to realize that regardless of how wealthy or successful one may be, no one has the right to waste food, water, or clothing—this, I believe, is a basic principle of being a responsible human being. I remain immensely grateful for the BCSC fellowship, which gave me the chance to live and learn in such a meaningful environment.
