About

Victor is an Assistant Professor leading the "Living Matter" lab at Ben-Gurion University's Sde Boker campus. He earned his PhD in Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed postdoctoral training at Institut Curie in Paris.

About the Lab
The Living Matter lab is an experimental laboratory investigating how tissues shape themselves and the physical mechanisms driving morphogenesis (the development of form). By combining experiments with theoretical models, we uncover the physical principles underlying the self-organization of cell collectives and their function as unified tissues.
To address these questions, we develop advanced methods for measuring and controlling the organization of biological structures, using high-resolution microscopy, miniaturized environments with micro-fabrication technology, and innovative algorithms for computer vision.
