ד"ר אמיר רייכר הוא אנתרופולוג חברתי שמתמחה במפעל ההתנחלויות בשטחים. המחקר שלו נמצא בצומת שבין אנתרופולוגיה פוליטית, אנתרופולוגיה של הדת, ותאוריה ביקורתית. הוא קיבל תואר דוקטור באנתרופולוגיה מהאוניברסיטה העירונית של ניו יורק (2023) והיה פוסט-דוקטורנט בתוכנית העמיתים על שם מרטין בובר באוניברסיטה העברית (2023-2025). ד"ר רייכר פרסם מספר מאמרים העוסקים בשאלות של משיחיות, פוסט משיחיות, אלימות, ואכזבה קיומית. בין השאר, הוא מתעניין במה אנשים עושים אחרי שהמשיח לא בא. המחקר הבא שלו אמור לעסוק בעיירה שכוחת אל בצפון טקסס, ארה"ב.
