About

Dr. Ben Herzog is a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to an Associate Professor in the United States) at the Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he heads the Woodman Scheller Israel Studies International Program (WSISIP). He has held visiting positions at Yale University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Quinnipiac University, and the University of Colorado Boulder. Dr. Herzog?s research focuses on refugees, citizenship, and nationalism, and has been published in journals such as Nations and Nationalism, Israel Studies Forum, Research in Political Sociology, European Journal of Sociology, Eastern European Politics and Societies, Citizenship Studies, Journal of Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Law, Journal of Modern Jewish Studies, and the American Review of Canadian Studies. He is the author of Revoking Citizenship: Expatriation in America from the Colonial Era to the War on Terror (NYU Press) and a book on dual citizenship in Israel, published in Hebrew by Bar-Ilan University Press.
