About
In our laboratory, we study intercellular communication within the tumor tissue. Cancer cells release exosomes (small membranal vesicles) that are taken up by non-cancerous cells within the tumor, thereby attempting to take control of the tissue and promote tumor growth. We aim to understand these processes in order to halt them or reprogram them so that they can serve as a basis for therapies against cancer progression. In addition, the laboratory is engaged in the development of innovative treatments based on alpha-particle radiation as an approach to eradicate solid tumors of various types, as part of an effort to enable clinical trials of this approach with the goal of saving or extending the lives of cancer patients worldwide.The University bears no responsibility for the content displayed on this page or on any other faculty members’ pages.
