About

Almog Simchon is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Department of Psychology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Director of the Computational Social Psychology (CSP) Lab. His research lies at the intersection of social networks, social psychology, and language, with a focus on political polarization, misinformation, and the role of digital environments in shaping beliefs and behavior. Grounded in computational social science, his work integrates social, political, and cognitive psychology with methods from data science, machine learning, and natural language processing to advance both theoretical understanding and real-world applications, including efforts to counter anti-democratic processes and improve psychological well-being in digital contexts.
