Ophthalmic Extracellular Vesicles Research Lab

Our laboratory investigates the critical role of exosomes as intercellular signaling mediators within the ocular tissues. Specifically, we focus on how these extracellular vesicles facilitate communication between different cell types in the eye. This research aims to elucidate their function in the pathogenesis of Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma therapeutic targets. Ultimately, our work aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of this chronic blinding disease through mapping exosome-mediated pathways and identifying novel therapeutic targets.
