Liron David is a lawyer, social worker, and direct-track PhD candidate in the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa. Her doctoral research examines the regulatory welfare state and the ways in which public procurement and tenders for social services shape the rights of persons with disabilities. Liron is a Teaching Fellow at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her work focuses on the intersection of law and social work, rights realization, disability rights, and the welfare state. She previously clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel and served as a legal counsel in the Legislation and Legal Counsel Department at the Israeli Ministry of Justice. She also served as Deputy CEO of Enosh?the Israeli Mental Health Association, where she led policy and legislative advocacy, as well as international work, in the fields of mental health and the community rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities.
