BGU Ranked Among World’s 100 Most Entrepreneurial Universities
PitchBook ranks BGU as 52nd among the world’s top 100 universities driving innovation.
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) has been ranked 52nd in the 2025 global list of the “most entrepreneurial universities,” published annually by PitchBook, a leading American authority on venture capital analysis and entrepreneurship research. The ranking highlights BGU’s position alongside top universities in Israel and worldwide.
PitchBook enjoys international recognition as one of the world’s foremost bodies in analyzing venture capital investments and tracking entrepreneurship trends. Its annual ranking draws on extensive quantitative data, covering more than 173,000 entrepreneurs worldwide whose startups have received venture capital backing. The report is regarded as a highly reliable indicator of the link between academic institutions and entrepreneurial success, offering an up-to-date global picture of how universities foster innovation.
The PitchBook ranking is divided into categories based on undergraduate and graduate degrees, examining which institutions best equip students for entrepreneurial achievement at different levels of study. Ultimately, the ranking identifies universities whose graduates stand out on the global startup stage.
BGU’s 52nd place is a distinguished achievement, positioning the university as one of Israel’s leaders in entrepreneurship. Other Israeli universities on the list include the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Reichman University, Tel Aviv University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Bar-Ilan University.
