Research Interests

My main focus is in Economic Psychology, with an emphasis on investigating how lay people understand economic issues and phenomena, both in micro– and macro-economics. Such studies aim to eventually inform efforts to improve financial literacy, and to better communication with the public by the authorities and financial institutions.

More generally, I am interested in lay understanding,  theories held by lay people in domains where they do not have the benefit of formal teaching. My interest lies both in the specific contents and in the cognitive mechanisms that account for the organization of knowledge and its limitations, its development in children and its break-down in pathology.

In terms of contents, I work on Economic Psychology, Decision Making, and Medical Psychology.
