Nucleation and Growth of Thin Films

Dr. Rothman's research will focus on developing innovative approaches for synthesizing carbon-based (carbides) and nitrogen-based (nitrides) two-dimensional materials, such as MXenes, with an emphasis on understanding the surface properties of these materials. Additionally, Dr. Rothman's research will involve using thin-film synthesis via Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) to study lithography and selective deposition processes for various applications in microelectronics and energy technologies.
