07 פברואר 2024

סמינר פקולטי משותף עם המרכז לקבלת החלטות ופסיכולוגיה כלכלית (DMEP) בנושא: Trust & Mixed Messages, בו נארח את Professor Marice Schweitzer, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

Abstract

Early work asserts that people will be more likely to trust others who exhibit high (1) Ability, (2) Benevolence, and (3) Integrity. Often, however, benevolence and integrity conflict, guiding different courses of action. In these cases, when do we prefer actors who privilege benevolence over integrity and when do we prefer actors who privilege integrity over benevolence? I will also review experimental work that develops our understanding of trust, considering questions such as when we are likely to misplace our trust and what key personality trait indicates that someone is likely to be trustworthy.
