The Department of Materials Engineering at Ben Gurion University is the oldest Department of Materials Engineering in Israel. Since its establishment until today, departments continue to lead in Israel and the world in the fields of teaching and research, thanks to a rich and diverse curriculum, first-rate faculty members, and high-level students.

In 2004, the thinnest material known until then - graphene - burst into our world. Graphene is a material that consists only of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb lattice. For more details about graphene in Dr. Moshe Haretz's intriguing research

Since the outbreak of the war we have been developing on the computer and printing with 3D printers products and supplies for the soldiers - every problem we hear from the field we develop and model a product, print and transport it to the field.
